How do you say your school's name?

Ecole Francaise (A-cole Fran-says) means "French School". While we are not a French immersion school students will receive French lessons during the week and practice French in their other classes.


July Highlights

6/30 - 7/3: Week 4: Washington D.C. (History)
Join us as we explore our nation’s capital, and also discuss our founding history. This week will be truly Patriotic, complete with our annual 4th of July picnic, which students will help prepare!

7/3: Independence Day Cookout, 11:30am

7/4: Independence Day, No Summer Program

7/7 - 7/11: Week 5: Maui-Wowie! (Science/Writing)
Explore the islands of Hawaii, and learn about the geology of volcanoes doing plenty of experiments, as well as building our own! We will also discuss the 50th state’s culture, write Haiku poetry inspired by our Japanese neighbors in the Pacific, and even learn to hula!

7/14 - 7/18: Week 6: Amazon Adventure (Math/Science)
Find yourself deep in the rainforest, as we study the marvelous plants and creatures that inhabit it. We will learn how experts protect nearly extinct species, and learn how we can help here in Ohio! We’ll also study the unique climate, and conduct plenty of greenhouse experiments measuring rainfall and condensation!

7/18: Franklin Park Conservatory, 9:30am - 1:00pm

7/20 - 7/25: Week 7: Oui, Paris! (French)
Students will study the French language and culture, as we make a stop in Paris! Cooking projects, learning French songs and vocabulary will round out a week of foreign language fun!

7/23: Academic Year Open House, 9:30am - 11:30am

7/27 - 8/1: Week 8: Bon Voyage! (French/Art)
Continue your exploration of the French language by visiting some of the Francophone countries, and learning about the many cultures and people who speak French around the globe. African music and dancing, clay sculpting, and many other artistic endeavors will pair with our continuing study of French!
